Frick has cancer and needs surgery to remove the tumors. Classic Canines, a senior dog advocacy group, has offered to arrange the surgery and care, but need to raise $1200 in order to do so.
Frick (with the white line down his face) and Frack are 7 year old siblings (littermates, in fact) who wound up at the Austin Animal Center. They are two of the sweetest souls we’ve ever met. After months at the shelter and no potential adopters on the horizon, Frick and Frack were chosen to move into the Travis County jail as part of our dog foster program. A select group of male inmates care for the dogs, teach them skills, show them love and get them ready to find permanent forever homes– together.
This week we found out he has cancerous tumors and requires surgery, and that’s where we need your help! Come see us at Spider House Cafe and you can help fund Frick’s treatment! Frick and Frack will even be in attendance from 12-2pm and from 2-4pm we’ll have other adoptable dogs from the shelter. We’ll also be doing animal trivia for some fun prizes! Proceeds from drink sales during the event will be donated to AAC so we can continue helping more dogs like Frick and Frack.
If you’d like to donate, but can’t attend the event, visit classiccanines.org and make a note that the funds are for Frick or austinanimalcenter.org.
