For those of you who have visited the Thai Buddhist Temple in Del Valle, you know that there are 3 absolutely adorable doggies that need a tremendous amount of grooming and tending to. The monks feed them and keep a large bowl of water filled for them at all times. But they need more than this. So this Saturday, we’re all pitching in to wash Ooey, Gooey and Louie. They are the 3 friendliest doggies ever.
🐶 = ❤.
If you have any dog soap, dog toys or dog food, please please please bring all the things. Come, wash the doggies, play with them and give them some love.
Afterwards, we will be joining the monks for 6pm meditation. If you’ve not had an opportunity to join the monks for meditation yet, this is a truly beautiful space with several resident monks. The monks all eat a vegan/vegetarian diet so we will be accepting any and all food for them. Feel free to bring bread, fruit, vegetables, coffee, soap and razors for bathing, toilet paper, and anything else you think would make a good donation to help the monastery. 🍓🍊🍉🍇🍌
Afterwards, we will be having a potluck dinner! So bring your yummiest dishes and celebrate the end of summer with us! 🍞🍢🍝🍜
1) items for the dogs (soap, food, toys)
2) $5 for participation (proceeds go to the temple to help with electricity and food.)
3) Any additional donation ($5 – $20 would be incredibly helpful)
4) items to donate to the monks (fruit, vegetables, toiletries, etc)
5) a yummy dish for the potluck
6) a meditation cushion (any couch pillow will do) to sit on during 6pm meditation.
7) an open heart and mind
This is going to be such an amazing all ages family-friendly event. Let’s all come together as spiritual beings and enjoy our time in unity with one another.
Feel free to send us a private message and if you’ve any questions. See you for Wednesday night at 9pm for our weekly meditation at our temple on Ramble Lane and on Saturday at Wat Buddhananachat in Del Valle. ✌❤
